Robot-assisted carton palletizing from AROTEC accelerates goods issue

In many companies, shipping units of different sizes and weights have to be assembled as mixed pallets with a wide variety of cardboard boxes. AROTEC automated this task with the help of the in-house developed palletizing software PALGO@Mix. This software ensures optimal loading of the pallets - and ensures maximum fill levels.

AROTEC also implemented a plant control computer that coordinates several robot cells at once. With this palletizing system, which has proven itself for years, our customer was able to significantly increase output: In 2-shift operation, up to 5,500 packages per cell are palletized daily.

The solution at a glance:

• Fully automatic palletizing line with 4 robot cells
• Capacity: approx. 350 packages / h and cell
• Package dimensions: between 280 x 180 x 115 mm and 730 x 370 x 300 mm
• Package weight: 500 g to 30 kg
• Palletizing height: 1.8 m

Robot master computer (RLR) for control of the plant and communication with the periphery (robot, conveyor PLC, material flow computer), visualization computer for display and control of the plant status (HTML-based in the browser), palletizing algorithm PALGO@Mix for online calculation of palletizing patterns.
